Summer weather gets many of us thinking about heading to the beach. Sometimes the task of getting there however can be quite an arduous journey. Especially if you live somewhere like… MONTANA. Wouldn't it be nice if you could get that beach feel conveniently regardless of the weather or your location? Thanks to modern technology, even if you live hundreds of miles from the ocean and there’s a blizzard in progress, you – Yes you! can get the feel of warm water and tropical breezes (maybe) at the waterpark. Waterparks and especially indoor ones are still growing in popularity and offer a break no matter the temperature. Miyazaki Prefecture on Kyushu Island in Japan was once home to the largest indoor waterpark in the world. This park was so big it had a faux volcano inside (to give you the feel of running for your life while enjoying an otherwise tranquil day at the beach). At its peak the park hosted 1.25 million visitors a year. At the time of this photo (about a month before its closure in 2007) I had the park all to myself... well minus a Korean Variety Show that happened to be visiting the park on the same day – (yes – Korean, not Japanese). But with around six football fields of space … and a little more, what’s fifteen more people to share the ultimate indoor water fantasy! Sadly, you cannot go to this one but don’t worry I'm
