As treacherous snowstorms hit the American Midwest and Eastern Seaboard it's hard to imagine the beauty that winter weather can also bring. If you are in Seoul, Korea during January or February; visit Gyeongbokgung Palace. Built in 1395, this is the main palace for a line of imperial rulers that once governed the country. Located slightly north of central Seoul – Gyeongbokgung Palace sits on around 100 acres of beautifully kept landscape. The architectural tradition of ancient Korea can be seen in the construction of the buildings and witnessing the area after a snowfall will leave you breathless.
